The North West Fund for Venture Capital & The North West Fund for Mezzanine - Enterprise Ventures

Enterprise Ventures, established in 1982, is now one of the largest independent venture capital managers in the North West, and operates from a growing network of UK locations, which includes offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston. It currently manages in excess of £140m on behalf of its clients and focuses on providing venture and growth capital of up to £2m to new or existing UK-based SMEs across all sectors and stages of investment.


The North West Fund for Loans Plus - FW Capital

FW Capital is part of the Finance Wales Group, the largest fund manager of its type in the UK. The Group has 10 years' investment experience and manages funds totalling £376m. The North West investment team is knowledgeable and experienced at SME funding. FW Capital also manages the Growth Plus Fund for North East Finance.

 

The North West Fund for Biomedical - Spark Impact

Spark Impact (Spark) is part of the Spark Ventures Group which has been operating for 12 years as a specialist in early-stage venture capital, providing equity investment to high growth healthcare companies in the UK and Europe. Spark currently manages approximately £190 million across a number of different investment funds.

 

The North West Fund for Digital & Creative - AXM Venture Capital

AXM Venture Capital (AXM) is an experienced, specialist digital, media and creative industries investor, operating from offices in Mancheter, Liverpool and London with an interest in investing across the whole information and communication technology spectrum. In addition to The North Wet Fund 4 Digital and Creative, it currently manages two London-based digital and creative funds (www.ccfund.co.uk) which have attracted significant private co-investment alongside its own investment capital. 

 

The North West Fund for Energy & Environmental - 350 Investment Partners 

350 Investment Partners LLP (formerly CTIP) is one of Europe's leading co-investors in clean technology companies with the ability to assess risk as an informed industry insider. In addition to managing the North West Fund for Energy & Environmental it also advises the Carbon Trust on its venture capital activities. Since 2002 350 Investment Partners has invested £27m into 25 companies leveraging over £143m of private sector investment. 350 Investment Partners is owned by its executive partners.

 

The North West Fund for Micro Loans - Business Finance Solutions and MSIF

Business Finance Solutions is a Government-backed, Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and a service of The Manchester Growth Company. Established in 2002 it has a strong history in providing technical support and alternative business finance across the North West to Entrepreneurs who wish to start & grow their businesses. As part of the Government's Solutions for Business Services, BFS has a range of affordable business loans and services delivered on behalf of the Department for Business Innovation & Skills (DBIS) by a team of experienced lending professionals. BFS offers finance from £500 with advice on availability of up to £5m.

Merseyside Special Investment Fund provides funding of up to £2million to SMEs around the Merseyside area. Set up in 1996 to promote economic growth in the region by addressing the funding gap, MSIF has since invested funds totalling over £151million in 1707 businesses. This funding has created and preserved around 14,000 jobs and brought in more than £285million investment from the private sector on the back of its own investments.
