Diagnostic Healthcare set to expand following merger with Excell Ultrasound

Diagnostic Healthcare Ltd which is a leading medical diagnostic company across multiple locations in the UK has merged with a provider of ultrasound services in a deal which will expand the geographical footprint of the company.

Manchester based Diagnostic Healthcare has announced a merger with Excell Ultrasound Limited which provides ultrasound services in East Midlands and East of England.

Diagnostic Healthcare operates a network of centres and mobile units across the UK providing MRI, Ultrasound, bone density and health screening services working closely with the NHS and private providers.

Excell Ultrasound Limited, which has been in operation for 11 years, operates out of Peterborough and specialises in providing a mobile ultrasound service in community based settings such as Doctor's surgeries and Community Hospitals.

Speaking about the acquisition,Liat Karni, managing director of Diagnostic Healthcare said:"Diagnostic Healthcare has a track record of providing ultrasound service successfully in many Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS Trusts. We believe that with more impact by leveraging Diagnostic Healthcare's scale and resources the companies will greatly expand and enhance the ultrasound services which will bring significant benefits to customers in new areas."

In 2013, Diagnostic Healthcare received investment from The North West Fund for Biomedical, allowing the company to take on new staff and expand its business. Financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank, The North West Fund is now fully invested.
