FW Capital’s £100,000 loan is just the job for Liverpool Recruitment

Press Release 5th April 2012

Specialist recruiters, the Liverpool Recruitment Company Ltd (LRC) are expanding thanks to a £100,000 loan from the North West Fund for Business Loans managed by FW Capital.

LRC has seen a steady increase in demand and the loan will provide the growth capital it needs to expand its team and target new UK and international clients.

Established in 2003 by Managing Director Darren Fulton, the company has built a national reputation and a solid client base. Key sectors for the company currently include construction, engineering, manufacturing, nuclear and technology, but it is planned that they expand into new sectors.

Clients are impressed by the complete package LRC offers, with services ranging from placing skilled personnel in a range of industries to specialised, director-level search and selection. Added to this, Fulton is passionate about the company's specialist sector-focused approach which he believes is a key USP. He puts LRC's continued success down to the fact that its consultants have in-depth knowledge and experience of the sectors they recruit for:

"Our clients task us with finding high-calibre candidates for key roles in their organisations and we couldn't do this without understanding the dynamics of their businesses and the sectors they're in. All our consultants have worked at senior levels in their chosen sectors, so they have a depth of experience that's enabled us to achieve high client retention levels," explained Fulton.

Fulton cut his teeth in senior positions in the healthcare and packaging industries and came up with the idea for LRC because of the surprisingly high number of unsatisfactory candidates he saw when recruiting for key roles. For LRC, growth will come through further expansion in the UK as well as internationally. The company also plans to provide a specialist recruitment service aimed at employers which need to recruit staff for highly regulated environments where security is crucial, such as in the rail industry, power stations and nuclear installations.

"We definitely have long-term expansion in mind and FW Capital's loan will help us to achieve this. We're well placed to target some lucrative opportunities for our higher-end services such as recruiting for specialist senior roles and skilled personnel for secure environments," Fulton continued.

LRC considered a number of investors when it was looking for a loan, but FW Capital was able to structure the right package for them.

FW Capital investment executive Carol Bolland worked on the deal with Fulton and was particularly impressed by LRC's client focus.

"LRC is a great example of a company with a strong USP that's really punching above its weight. Darren has an admirable focus on customer service and a clear view of where he sees LRC in the future. I was pleased to work with someone with such vision," Bolland explained.

FW Capital can lend between £50,000 and £250,000 at a time and can also make additional loans available to businesses.

"It's pleasing to see demand for our loans picking up on Merseyside and also pleasing to do our first deal in Liverpool city centre. The North West Fund for Business Loans' flexible lending criteria means we're well placed to help businesses like LRC. We can consider cash-flow-based loans which focus on the ability to make repayments and not just what security is available.

"Businesses are often pleased to find out that our loans can also be used in conjunction with investment from banks and other funders which can often make a real difference to their plans," Bolland concluded.
