The North West Fund for Loans Plus is a source of debt/quasi debt investment for growing SMEs. It's targeted at businesses in the North West that require finance to achieve their growth plans.

Businesses may find it difficult to secure funding in the current economic climate. The Fund can lend between £50,000 and £750,000 in a single round. It can provide follow-on funding and can co-invest with other funders.

Businesses must demonstrate a strong case for investment when applying. They should provide a business plan, which must show the business' vision for growth and its ability to service a loan.

Loans can typically be repaid over 3.5 to 5 years. Security, such as business assets or personal guarantees (at the fund manager's discretion) may be required when applying.
